Skills matrix template

Building a skills matrix usually takes longer than expected. The hardest part is identifying the right skills for each role. This tool generates a skills matrix that is ready to use and to export to Excel, so you save the time that normally goes into the blank page.

Separate them with commas. For example: Project lead, Technician, Coordinator.

Your competency families

Start with two families and five roles. A 40-row matrix nobody fills in is worth less than a 10-row one that gets used.

Your grid

Enter at least one role and keep one family ticked.

The grid shows the holes. It does not fill them.

Once the matrix is filled in, the question becomes who you train, who you hire and in what order. A 30-minute call, free of charge.
