Terms of use

Last updated

These terms govern use of inleadrh.ca. By browsing it, you accept them. They do not govern mandates, which are covered by a separate written agreement.

Who operates this site

This site is operated by Inlead RH, an HR consultancy based in Quebec. To reach us: kim@inleadrh.com or 263-383-5323.

What this site is, and is not

The guides, articles and tools published here are general information about human resources management. They are written carefully and out of our practice, but they do not account for your situation.

This is not legal advice, nor professional HR advice. Reading this site creates no advisory relationship between you and Inlead RH. That relationship starts with a written agreement, not with a page view.

Quebec employment law changes, and our content can fall behind it. Before acting on a question of compliance, pay equity or occupational health and safety, confirm with someone who knows your file.

Accuracy and currency of the information

Several of our guides and articles cover subjects governed by Quebec law: employment standards, pay equity, francization, protection of personal information, occupational health and safety. These rules change. Some on a fixed date, like the minimum wage each May 1. Others without notice.

We verify this content against the official bodies at the time of writing, and every page shows its last-updated date. That does not guarantee it is accurate, complete or current at the moment you read it.

Where a page cites a threshold, a rate, a deadline or an obligation, the official source we link to governs, never our summary. Always confirm with the relevant body before you decide: the CNESST, the Office québécois de la langue française, the Commission d'accès à l'information or Revenu Québec, depending on the subject.

Inlead RH accepts no responsibility for a decision taken on the basis of information published here that turns out to be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If you spot an error, write to kim@inleadrh.com and we will correct it.

Tools and calculators

The calculators produce estimates from the figures you enter. They do not verify those figures and are not a substitute for a diagnostic. A result is not a finding about your company.

Calculations run entirely in your browser. The figures you enter into a calculator are not sent to us and are not stored anywhere.

The contact form

Completing the form is a request, not a commitment, on either side. We are not obliged to accept a mandate, and we say so when a file is not right for us.

You agree to provide accurate information and not to submit the form on someone’s behalf without their agreement. How we handle what you send is described in our privacy policy.

Intellectual property

The text, guides, tools, images and visual elements of this site belong to Inlead RH unless stated otherwise.

You may read them, print them and share them internally within your organisation. You may not republish them, resell them, fold them into a service offering or use them to train a commercial model without our written permission. A short quotation with a link back to the original page is always welcome.

Acceptable use

In using this site, you agree not to:

  • attempt to reach parts of the site not intended for you, or to bypass its security measures;
  • submit unlawful, misleading or harmful content through it;
  • automate requests to the point of degrading its availability for others;
  • impersonate another person or organisation.

Links to other sites

Our content sometimes points to external sources, including legislation and public bodies. We do not control those sites and are not answerable for their content or their privacy practices.

Availability

We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or free of error. It may be changed, suspended or withdrawn in whole or in part, without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Inlead RH is not liable for damages arising from use of this site, from decisions taken on the strength of its general content, or from any inaccuracy, omission or failure to update the information published, including in the guides, the articles and the tools. This limitation does not apply to mandates, which are governed by their own agreement, nor to anything the law does not permit to be excluded.

Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec, and any dispute falls to the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.

The French version of these terms prevails. The English version is provided for convenience.

Changes

These terms may change. The update date at the top of the page marks the version in force. Continuing to use the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the new version.
